I have been certifying pool fences locally in the Whitsundays since 2010, ensuring that poeple are aware of their obligations when owning a pool. Living in the tropics we all love the water but we also need to have the peace of mind that while the pool is unattended that no child can get into the water unsupervised. Since this act has been introduced, child drownings in pools has reduced considerably. Keeping our pool fence safe is a small thing that we can all do to keep our children safe.
