Checklist

 

Gate:

Does the Gate open away from the pool?                                    

Does the Gate self close and latch from any position?                   

Is the gate 100mm from the ground?                                           

Is the gap between the gate and the fence less than 10mm?           

Is the gate latch 1500mm from the ground?             

Are the hinges 900mm apart?

When closed does the gate stay latched, even when shaken?

Are there no climbable objects that could be used to open the gate?

 

Fence:

Are all the fence panels secure?

Is the gap between the ground and the fence less than 100mm?

Are there no gaps greater than 100mm in the fence?

Is there no direct door/window access to Pool?

Is the fence 1200mm high or more?

Is the fence free of sharp hazards and edges?

Is the distance between horizontal rails greater than 900mm?

When squeezing vertical bars, is the gap less than 100mm?

 

Surrounding Area:

Have trees near the fence been trimmed so that children can't climb?

Is there a clear 300mm on the inside of the fence?

Is there a clear 1200mm on the outside of the fence?

Is there a clear 900mm where the pool fence intersects with another?

Is a CPR sign on display?

Are climbable items removed from near the fence?
